Welcome. Where science meets holistic care.

Meet Allison Massé (she/her).

Allison is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia. Her practice operates respectfully across Treaty 7 Territory and the traditional, unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Songhees (Lekwungen), Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.

EMDR-trained and clinically grounded, Allison specializes in anxiety and trauma treatment, burnout, and stress-related conditions. Extensively studied and evidence-based, EMDR enables the safe processing of trauma for meaningful, long-term change.

Areas of focus

Anxiety

The feeling of fear, dread, or uneasiness may be signs of anxiety. It can wreak havoc in so many
ways and takes a toll on a person’s mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. As a skilled clinician using proven treatment techniques of CBT and EMDR, Allison Massé provides
you with the practical tools, resources, and perspective to arm you against anxiety before it manifests itself into something too large to handle.

Burnout

Burnout is a state of complete mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion – often to the point of depletion. It is very real and can be serious, though often goes undetected until it becomes too detrimental a thing to deal with. By using CBT, EMDR, and psychoeducational treatment techniques, Allison Massé can help you manage stress to prevent burnout, recognize its signs
and symptoms, and help you recover from this serious life stressor.

Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome is a well-researched phenomenon where individuals, often high achieving, doubt their abilities and fear being exposed as a “fraud.” As a psychologist, Allison helps clients move past these limiting beliefs by exploring underlying thought patterns and building on clients unique strengths, fostering confidence, resilience, and authentic self-assurance.

Compassion Fatigue

Compassion fatigue is often confused with burnout. While burnout is mostly tied to job stressors and being overworked, compassion fatigue comes from working or engaging with individuals of trauma or those under high stress. Both types of stress can bring mental, physical and emotional exhaustion that are problematic for anyone’s well-being. If you are required to use a high degree of compassion or empathy in your daily life, or identify as a highly sensitive person, you may be at risk.

By using CBT, EMDR, and solution focused interventions, MW Clinical Counselling can provide the help you need.

Stress Management

Work, relationships, life changes, and competing demands can all bring about stress. Whether
chronic or acute, stress can negatively disrupt your mood, sleep and overall daily life. It can
manifest in ways that are most obvious or can creep up on you when you least expect it. Using
CBT, SFBT, and EMDR and an empathetic approach, Allison can provide
you with the tools needed to help manage and reduce your stress, whatever form it takes.

Life Transitions

Whether going through new beginnings, grief, or personal transformation, many of life’s
meaningful moments can be overwhelming. MW Clinical Counselling can help you accept the
emotions that can come with change by keeping you focused, develop realistic goals, and
provide you with the tools needed to best manage life’s adjustments through developing
psychological resilience, strategies, and tools.
